About This Course:
This course builds essential defensive pistol fundamentals and sound decision-making skills that apply to real-world personal safety situations, including scenarios in and around the home.
Our focus goes beyond marksmanship. We emphasize practical, repeatable skills you can rely on when it matters most.
This course is approximately 4 hours (8:00AM - 12:00PM) in duration and includes both guided instruction and live-fire training.
What This Course Covers:

Safe handgun handling and range procedures

Grip, stance, sight alignment, and trigger control

Presentation from ready positions

Reloading and basic malfunction clearance

Target identification and threat assessment

High-level overview of California self-defense law
Training Outcome:
Students will develop increased confidence operating their handgun under pressure and gain the foundational skills needed for more advanced defensive training.
Experience Requirement:
Completion of Pistol 1 or Pistol 2 (or an equivalent course from Legacy Firearms Academy) is required to attend this course.
